Her new job responsibilities will include conceptualising and driving innovations across Times Group properties.
The Times Group has appointed Sheena Kapoor as head, Innovations, a newly created position. In her new role, Kapoor will conceptualise and drive innovation across Times Group media as well as provide brand solutions to the clients of the group.
Kapoor has more than 12 years of experience in marketing and brand management functions across media, real estate, financial services and consulting sectors. She was a part of the co-promoter team of Artha, the South India-based real estate division of the Times Group. She was associated with Artha as head, marketing and played an important role in launching over 50 real estate projects across Bengaluru and Chennai.
Talking about her new role, Kapoor says, "My immediate plan of action will include creating new formats as well as popularising the existing ad properties. Also I'll be working on creating and encouraging our Response team to sell brand solutions rather than just selling ad spaces." She will report to Nandan Srinath, director, Response and will be based in Mumbai.
Kapoor was also instrumental in introducing the online money management application for the division, called Artha Money Manager.
She has been associated with the Times Group for the past nine years. She joined the BCCL group as core team member and head brand manager of Remit2India, and played an important part in developing the online money transfer portal.
Kapoor started her career as a management consultant at Avalon Consulting, managing key strategy projects for leading clients of the company.
She holds a degree in Brand Marketing from ISB Hyderabad and has completed MBA from SIBM (Symbiosis Institute of Business Management).
