The air conditioner manufacturing company has awarded its media buying and planning duties to Havas Media after a multi-agency pitch. The account size is pegged at more than Rs 50 crore.

After a multi-agency pitch, Voltas India has awarded its media planning and buying duties to newly rebranded Havas Media.
The other agencies that were in the fray for the account were GroupM, Madison, Aegis and IPG Mediabrands.
Pradeep Bakshi, chief operating officer, UBBG, Voltas, says, "We have appointed Havas Media as our media agency for our room air conditioners and other unitary products business. We were impressed by its capability to look beyond seasonality and traditional media and its understanding of the category from a regional perspective was also very accurate."
According to the agency, the account size is more than Rs 50 crore.

Voltas was founded in India in 1954 and is headquartered in Mumbai. It is a part of the Tata enterprise and offers engineering solutions for a wide spectrum of industries in areas such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration, electro-mechanical projects, textile machinery and others.
The newly rebranded Havas Media Group includes all of Havas' media agencies, consisting of Havas Media and Arena Media.
