MEC India has been awarded the media duties for Bluestone.com, the online store for fine jewellery and accessories. The business will be managed by the agency's Bengaluru branch.
MEC won the business following a multi-agency pitch that took place in the city.
Speaking on the development, Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, co-founder, BlueStone.com, says, "MEC's sound understanding of the digital space and its track record on e-commerce brands made our choice of agency easy."
Commenting on the win, T Gangadhar, managing director, MEC India, says, "There is no better way to begin 2013 than this."
Bluestone is a part of Jewels Online Distribution India. It was set up in mid-2011 by Vidya Nataraj and Gaurav Singh Kushwaha. Before co-founding Bluestone, Nataraj was senior strategy consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in India, covering the pharmaceuticals, automobile and retail sectors. Kushwaha was the CEO of Chakpak, an online entertainment portal, which he co-founded in 2007.
