The agency's Bengaluru and Chennai teams will work on this account.
Following a multi-agency pitch process, R K Swamy Media Group has been awarded the media duties for healthcare network Fortis Hospitals (South). The winning agency's Bengaluru and Chennai teams will work on this account.
The development is in sync with the brand's upcoming expansion plans.
Karthik Rajgopal, chief, sales and marketing, South and East, Fortis Hospitals, says in a press note, "We are poised for the next level of growth with major expansion plans. We look forward to their (R K Swamy's) superior media solutions in helping build our brand value further."
Expressing his joy, Sandeep Sharma, president, R K Swamy Media Group, says, "We are confident of adding disproportionate value to their (Fortis') media investments."
On the creative front, Fortis Healthcare has worked with agencies such as Grey and Crayons Advertising. The creative mandate was divided between these two agencies such that Crayons looked after Fortis' corporate brand and its hospitals in the northern region, while Grey handled Fortis' hospitals in the South, West and East.
The two agencies have also handled the brand's regional media planning and buying in the past.
Brand Fortis first grabbed mass eyeballs a few years back through its presence and visibility in the blockbuster Hindi film, 3 Idiots. The brand has also utilised the OOH medium in the past; its 'Short Drive to a Speedy Recovery' campaign aimed to establish the availability of well-situated Fortis Hospitals across Delhi-NCR.
It remains to be seen how team R K Swamy will optimise the brand's presence across media channels in the days ahead.
For the record, Fortis has 39 hospitals and over 5,000 beds across the country. The team claims that 48,000 surgical procedures were performed in the last one year alone.
