ZenithOptimedia has won the media planning and buying duties for e-commerce website, Jabong.com. The agencies won the business on the back of a closely fought pitch which saw participation from three-four other agencies.
Confirming the development to afaqs!, Manu Kumar Jain, co-founder and managing director, Jabong.com, says, "Through our campaigns, we have always aimed to showcase the true shopaholic in our audience who is always geared up for the latest and the best fashion in the market. The objective of hiring a new media agency was fundamentally to further develop our communication approach, combined with greater market spread for our consumers to comprehend Jabong's new methodology."
As part of the brief, the e-commerce website had asked agencies to present a concrete plan for its forthcoming campaigns. Furthermore, in its brief, Jabong asked agencies to present innovative ideas on how it can use various media vehicles based on media consumption behaviour of the audience. Lastly, the e-commerce portal had also shared the details of its target markets to enable agencies to draw a strategy.

Earlier this year, in July, the e-commerce website had awarded its media planning and buying duties to Mindshare. Currently, its creative duties are being managed by Salt.
