ZenithOptimedia has won the media mandate for Bharti Walmart. The win comes on the back of a multi-agency pitch process that was concluded a few days ago.
Earlier, the media mandate was with Madison Media. The agency won the account four years ago and has been handling it since.
While Satyajit Sen, chief executive officer, ZenithOptimedia India could not be reached, when contacted, Navin Khemka, managing partner, ZenithOptimedia, confirmed the news to afaqs!.
A Bharti Retail official says in a press note, "We were impressed with the approach to media planning and expect a fruitful association with ZenithOptimedia in the coming years."
In the same note, Sen conveys, "For us this is significant as this is a demonstration of Live ROI adding value to clients. Retail allows for confluence of multiple data streams and the learning opportunity is immense. We are looking forward to working with Bharti Retail."
Bharti Walmart is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Walmart.
Recently, ZenithOptimedia adopted a new positioning, namely, 'Live ROI'. The positioning is based on three pillars - 'Active Understanding', 'Dynamic Engagement' and 'Real-Time Performance'. It remains to be seen how the agency applies this philosophy to Bharti Walmart and yields healthy returns for the brand in the days ahead.
Earlier this year, ZenithOptimedia won the media mandate for Yatra.com.
