Fever FM leads in Delhi, while Radio Mirchi is at No. 1 in Kolkata.
The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 18-21 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.
Mumbai
Radio City has taken over the top position in the flock with a market share of 15.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points over the previous four weeks (Week 14-17). With this, the channel has taken over the ratings of Radio Mirchi (currently at No. 2), which has lost channel share from 15.5 per cent in the previous four weeks to 15.3 per cent in the current four weeks (Week 18-21).
The rest of the rankings more or less remain the same.
AIR FM2-Gold is stable at No. 3, while its market share has increased from 14 per cent in the previous four weeks (Week 14-17) to 14.5 per cent in the current four weeks, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points.
Fever FM is at No. 4, gaining 0.5 percentage points to garner a market share of 13.8 per cent in the current four weeks. Big FM settles in the fifth position in Mumbai, with a market share of 11.1 per cent; down from earlier four weeks' market share of 11.8 per cent.
Red FM is stable at the sixth spot with a market share of 10.7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage points. AIR FM1-Rainbow is still at No. 7 in the city with a market share of 4.8 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 percentage points.
Radio One is placed eighth, with a market share of 4.5 per cent, having gained 0.3 percentage points in the earlier four weeks. Vividh Bharati has a market share of 4.4 per cent, losing 0.7 percentage points.
Among the other stations in Mumbai during Week 18-21, Oye! FM has a market share of 4 per cent, followed by Akashavani with 1.3 per cent market share.
Delhi
Fever FM continues to lead the city, registering a market share of 18.3 per cent in the current four weeks (Week 18-21), losing 0.2 percentage points over the four weeks. AIR FM2-Gold, too, remains stable at No. 2 position with a market share of 17.9 per cent, showing no loss or gain.
At No. 3, Radio Mirchi has seen a marginal drop in share from 16 per cent in the previous four weeks (Week 14-17) to 15.9 per cent in the current four weeks.
In the previous four weeks (Week 14-17) Red FM and Radio City had shared the No. 4 position with 12.1 per cent market share.
Red FM, currently at No. 4, has gained 0.3 percentage points to garner a market share of 12.4 per cent in the current four weeks. Radio City follows with 11.7 per cent market share in Delhi, down from earlier four weeks' 12.1 per cent share.
At No. 6, Big FM registered a gain of 0.4 percentage points. The radio station's market share for the current four weeks (Week 18-21) is 8.8 per cent.
Radio One and Oye! FM have secured the seventh and eighth positions, respectively, with market shares of 4.8 per cent and 4.2 per cent in the current four weeks. The former gained 0.2 percentage points, while the latter gained 0.1 percentage points over the last four weeks.
During Week 18-21, AIR FM1-Rainbow and Hit FM have garnered market shares of 2.1 per cent each, jointly occupying the ninth position.
Vividh Bharati Delhi and Akashavani stand at No. 10 and 11 with market shares of 0.9 per cent and 0.6 per cent, respectively.
Bengaluru
Radio City still leads the pack in Bengaluru with a market share of 26.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.4 percentage points in the current four weeks.
Radio Mirchi is at No. 2 with a market share of 21.2 per cent, registering a drop of 1 percentage point. Big FM is at No. 3 and has a market share of 18.6 per cent, with a gain of 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous four weeks.
Red FM continues to be at the fourth position with a market share of 11.8 per cent, which is 0.2 percentage points lower than that of the previous four weeks.
AIR FM-Rainbow and AIR FM-Vividh Bharati continue to be at No. 5 and No. 6 with market shares of 5.7 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively. While the share of AIR FM-Rainbow remains the same, the share for the latter has dropped by 0.2 percentage points, as compared to the previous four weeks.
Radio One follows with a market share of 4.7 per cent, without any loss or gain.
At No. 8, Fever FM has a market share of 4.4 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage points.
Radio Indigo, Akashavani and Gyan Vani follow at the tail end with market shares of 1.5 per cent, 0.4 per cent and 0.2 per cent, respectively.
Kolkata
Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 23.1 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous four weeks.
Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 16.8 per cent and Friends FM has a market share of 14.7 per cent. The radio stations' average market shares during the previous four weeks were 16.8 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively.
Aamar FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 10.2 per cent, down from 10.7 per cent that it registered in the previous four weeks.
Red FM and Fever FM jointly occupy the fifth place in the city with market shares of 8.5 per cent each. The radio channels' average market shares for the previous four weeks were 7.5 per cent and 8.7 per cent, respectively.
Oye! FM is next in the line, with a market share of 5 per cent. Radio One, at No. 7, follows with a market share of 4.9 per cent.
During Week 18-21, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2-Gold has a market share of 3.3 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.3 per cent) and Power FM (1.3 per cent).
Vividh Bharati Kolkata and Akashavani stand at No. 11 and 12 with market shares of 0.8 per cent and 0.7 per cent, respectively.
