DID Little Masters tops the flock; Zee slips back to No. 3

Last week, Zee displaced Sony from its No. 2 position on the back of Dance India Dance Finale, which clocked 3.19 TVR and stood at the eighth position in the top 10 programmes for the week.

Despite the fact that Zee TV's popular reality show Dance India Dance Little Masters' second season auditions have topped the top programmes list with 5.78 TVRs for Week 17 of 2012, the channel has slipped back to its No. 3 position.

Zee TV, at No. 3 this week, has lost four points to garner 210 GRPs, down from 214 GRPs that it registered last week (Week 16). Its channel share, too, has fallen from 17.7 per cent to 17.1 per cent in the current week.

Despite the fact that Zee TV's popular reality show Dance India Dance Little Masters' second season auditions have topped the top programmes list with 5.78 TVRs for Week 17 of 2012, the channel has slipped back to its No. 3 position.

Zee TV, at No. 3 this week, has lost four points to garner 210 GRPs, down from 214 GRPs that it registered last week (Week 16). Its channel share, too, has fallen from 17.7 per cent to 17.1 per cent in the current week.

Last week (Week 16), Zee displaced Sony from its No. 2 position on the back of Dance India Dance Finale, which clocked 3.19 TVRs and stood at the eighth position in the list of Top 10 programmes for the week.

As per TAM data, Star Plus maintains its No. 1 position with 255 GRPs, up from last week's 248 GRPs. Also, its channel share has increased from 20.5 per cent to 20.8 per cent.

Sony has established itself at the second position on the back of the screening of 3 Idiots on Sunday prime time slot (10 pm). The channel is back at No. 2, with a gain of 31 points in the current week, at 240 GRPs (which is a mere 15 points away from the No. 1 position). The relative share of the channel has increased significantly to 19.5 per cent, up from last week's 17.3 per cent (209 GRPs last week).

Meanwhile, Viacom18's general entertainment channel Colors is at No. 4. The channel saw a marginal increase in the ratings and has clocked 195 GRPs. The relative share has decreased from 16 per cent in Week 16 to 15.9 per cent in Week 17.

At No. 5 is Sony's sibling GEC, SAB, garnering 110 GRPs against 115 GRPs last week. The relative share of the channel has come down marginally from 9.5 per cent to 8.9 per cent.

Life OK is at No. 6 with 83 GRPs, down from last week's 86 GRPs, while its channel share has dropped from 7.1 per cent to 6.7 per cent in the current week.

Sahara One is at No. 7; the channel's relative share has jumped from 3.7 per cent in Week 16 to 3.5 per cent in Week 17. The channel also saw a decrease in GRPs, from 45 GRPs in Week 16 to 43 GRPs in Week 17.

STAR Utsav and Imagine TV have garnered relative shares of 3.4 per cent (42 GRPs) and 2.6 per cent (32 GRPs), respectively; while DD National has garnered a relative share of 1.1 per cent, with 13 GRPs.

Zee Smile follows with 0.6 per cent share.

Auditions of the second season of DID Little Masters ruled the list of 10 most-watched programmes on Hindi GECs in Week 17, with 5.78 TVRs. The Saturday episode, which garnered the highest ratings, was the first episode of the second season.

Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) stands at No. 2 with 5.63 TVRs.

Next in the list comes 3 Idiots, aired on Sony on Sunday, April 22. The movie stands at No. 3 with 4.14 TVRs. It must be noted that the premiere of the movie on Sony in Week 31 of 2010 had garnered the highest ratings till that time (10.88 TVRs).

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on STAR Plus is the fourth most-watched programme, recording a TVR of 3.81; it is followed by CID on Sony at No. 5 with 3.62 TVRs; and Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai at No. 6 with 3.55 TVRs.

Next in the list are Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Crime Patrol (Sony), garnering 3.51 and 3.36 TVRs, respectively.
