Durbar Ganguly-promoted Millennium Post has been launched from Delhi today (May 2). The company took over 20 hoardings and bus shelters across the Capital to announce the entry of the new English broadsheet. The daily has the tagline, 'No Half Truths'.
Millennium Post has a cover price of Rs 3 and has been launched with an initial print run of 75,000 copies, of which about 10,000 copies have been subscribed. The newspaper has tied up with Central News Agency to ensure availability of the daily on the newsstands, hotels and offices. Apart from the OOH campaign, the newly launched daily is interacting with prospective readers, those who read or would like to read a second newspaper in the city.
Talking about the future plans for the daily, Ganguly shares that the company plans to launch the English daily from other locations including Lucknow, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh, in a span of two years.
The 16-page, all-colour newspaper claims to have roped in advertisers from public sector as well as private companies including ONGC, SAIL, GAIL, NTPC, Ansals, CHD Developers and Nestle, to name a few.
Millennium Post has been in existence since 2005 and was recently taken over by Ganguly's company, Frontrow Media.
The inaugural issue of the daily will have a supplement, 'Heroes of the Millennium' that will talk about the common man and will be a monthly pullout.
Rana Some, ex-chairman of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is on the newspaper's advisory board as its chairman, apart from Partho Bhattacharya, former chairman of Coal India, who is also a member of the board.
