Subhas Warrier joins Lintas Initiative Media as EVP and head, South

Warrier joins Lintas Initiative Media from Dentsu Media, where he was vice-president and head of the Mumbai branch.

Subhas Warrier has joined Lintas Initiative Media (LIM) as executive vice-president and head, South region. Earlier, he was vice-president and head of the Mumbai branch of Dentsu Media.

Confirming the development, Sudha Natrajan, CEO, Lintas Initiative Media, in an official communiqué, says, "As part of a grand plan to make LIM future-proof, a team of senior council comprising of experienced professionals with cutting edge expertise is what I set out to build, and Raghav Subramanian, who joined as COO four months ago, was the first step in that direction. Warrier, who will report to him, will now strengthen the council."

In his new role, Warrier will acquire new businesses and further build the South division.

"There is a great bunch of people here. Our clients here are very aggressive, open to new ideas and are continuously looking to take more and more innovative initiatives in their marketing effort," says Warrier.

Warrier, who is a B Sc (Honours) in Physics, started his career as a copywriter before moving to media planning and buying in 1987. He moved to Dubai in 1987, and spent the next six years with Oster Ads. In 1993, he returned to India and joined HTA (now JWT) Chennai as media planning supervisor. After a year, he shifted to Ogilvy Bengaluru as managing consultant. He was transferred to Ogilvy's Chennai office in 1995.

In 2000, he moved to Jakarta as general manager, Mindshare. At the agency, he managed the Unilever business. In 2004, he moved to Mindshare's Dubai office as director on the Unilever account. In 2005, he left Mindshare and started his own set-up, Eye-2-Eye Media, before moving back to India.
