Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, the media outsourcing specialist, has been appointed as the media representative for V6 News, the newly launched Telugu news channel in Andhra Pradesh.

Aditya Someswarao, head, marketing and sales, V6 News, notes that Andhra Pradesh is chiefly skewed towards very high brand-consumption of products and services. Therefore, most of the FMCG products, telecom services and automobiles spend aggressively on television in this state.
When quizzed on why the channel chose to partner with Fourth Dimension Media Solutions, Someswarao says, "Fourth Dimension Media Solutions has a very strong experience in ad sales, particularly in news television. Also, it has a very thorough knowledge of the overall South industry. Therefore, it made for a very logical partnership."
According to sources close to the development, the channel expects to generate an estimated Rs 10 crore in ad revenues by March, 2013 through this partnership. However, Someswarao declines to confirm or comment on further financial details.
For the record, Fourth Dimension Media Solutions also represents New Generation Media Corporation's Puthiya Thalaimurai group of magazines, the 24-hour Tamil news channel Puthiya Thalaimurai TV, and Chennai Live, an English radio station.

V6 News is housed under Nikit Investment, a newly launched broadcast network headquartered in Hyderabad, in a bid to tap into the Rs 200 crore Telugu news market in Andhra Pradesh. The channel claims to be the first investor-funded satellite Telugu news channel in Andhra Pradesh, which already houses 12 news channels.
