Bharat Ranga, former executive director, international operations will now work as head, content, whereas Nittin Keni, NCD will be shifted to look after the production initiatives.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has announced two key movements in its senior management. Bharat Ranga, executive director, international operations, ZEEL will now lead the content on the network as chief content and creative officer. All content and cluster heads of the network will report to him. Also, Nittin Keni, erstwhile national creative director, ZEEL, has been appointed head, production.
Following this development, the heads of all the international territories, who earlier reported to Ranga, will now report to Rajesh Jejurikar, president, ZEEL.
Ranga has been associated with ZEEL since 1998. An MBA from the University of Ajmer, he has also completed an Advanced Management Program from Wharton Business School. Before joining ZEEL, he has worked for companies such as Times of India and Modi Korea Telecommunication.
It is learnt that the network plans to focus on production of television content. The production vertical may also be turned into a separate revenue stream by the network. Keni's responsibility will be to lead the production function and studio set up.
This is Keni's second stint at ZEEL, which began in March, 2011 as NCD. He was responsible for the film production division. Earlier, he had worked as executive president, Zee Telefilms and became the first CEO of Zee Cinema at the time of its launch in 1995.
