Post KBC, Sony slips to No. 3; Colors moves up to No. 2

Star Plus continues to dominate in Week 48 with 312 GRPs; Colors stands at 277, and Sony at 231 GRPs.

According to the latest data from TAM (C&S 4+, HSM), Star Plus has maintained its top spot in Week 48 with 312 GRPs, while Sony, which stood at No. 2 in the previous week, has slipped to No. 3 with 231 GRPs. This is post the end of the KBC season on Sony, which is most probably the causative factor in Sony's drop in rankings.

Colors, meanwhile, has climbed up a notch from No. 3 in the previous week, to No. 2 with 277 GRPs.

Speaking of channel shares, Star Plus' share has remained more or less constant over the previous week, from 24 per cent to 24.6 per cent, while Colors' share has increased from 18 per cent in Week 47, to 21.8 per cent in Week 48. Sony's share has dropped from 20.6 per cent to 18.1 per cent.

Zee TV continues to be at No. 4, decreasing from a share of 12.3 per cent to 11.7 per cent, while its GRPs have dropped from 161 to 149.

The rest of the rankings remain more or less identical to the previous week. SAB TV is at No. 5 with a share of 8.5 per cent (8.8 per cent in the previous week), its GRPs slipping from 115 to 108.

Imagine TV is at No. 6 with a share of 5.8 per cent (6 per cent in the previous week), and a GRP of 73 (78 GRPs in Week 47).

STAR One is at No. 7 with a share of 3.3 per cent as compared to 3.5 per cent in the previous week; it has garnered 42 GRPs as opposed to 45 in Week 47.

Sahara One is at No. 8 with 2.8 per cent channel share, as compared to 3.1 per cent in the previous week, and 36 GRPs as opposed to 40 in the previous week.

Star Utsav is at No. 9 with 2 per cent share, as compared to 2.2 per cent in Week 47, while its GRPs have decreased marginally from 29 to 26, this week.

DD1 remains more or less stable at No. 10, with 1.1 per cent share, as compared to 1.2 per cent in the previous week, while its GRPs have slipped from 16 to 14.

Zee Smile is at No. 11 with the same channel share in Week 48 as was in Week 47 (0.2 per cent); its GRPs, too, remain constant at 3.

Saathiya Saath Nibhaana (Star Plus) was the most-watched show in Week 48, garnering a TVR of 5.86. Colors has several factors contributing to its No. 2 position in Week 48. 'Balika Vadhu' on Colors is the second highest grosser overall in the GEC space, with 5.62 TVR, while the movie 'Ready' fetched a TVR of 3.69. Other contributors for Colors include 'Parichay', which garnered a TVR of 3.7, and 'Sasural Simar Ka', which is in the 10th most-watched spot with 3.66 TVR.

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum garnered 5.21 TVR, making it the third most-watched show. Other shows from Star Plus to have made it to the Top 10 list include Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (3.98 TVR) and Pratigya (3.67 TVR).

Other shows in the Top 10 list include Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (4.3 TVR) and CID (3.75 TVR), both from the Sony stable.
