Close on the heels of winning the Zee Learn and Dwarka Milk businesses, MediaVest Worldwide has been awarded the media duties for the global razor blade brand SuperMax. The win rides on the back of a multi-agency pitch that was carried out earlier this month.

The agency's Mumbai office will take care of the mandate with immediate effect. The duties include handling the media planning and buying responsibilities across all media platforms.

Addressing the development, Dinesh Rathore, vice-president, MediaVest Mumbai, conveys in an official communiqué, "We look forward to partner the SuperMax business."

Rathore adds that 2011 has been a good year for the agency, and the team looks forward to build on this momentum in the coming year, as well.

It may be noted that Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) has won several prominent accounts in the recent past. The agency network bagged more than 14 new businesses in the past few months across its branches in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The most recent addition includes the Aircel account; the agency will handle the media duties for the brand on digital and TV platforms.

For the record, MediaVest Worldwide is one of the two global networks of the Starcom MediaVest Group. The network started its operations in India in 2009, and is based in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Currently, it handles several leading brands across various sectors.

SuperMax was founded in 1949 and is a family-owned business. The company manufactures products for men and women. The brand is currently available in more than 70 countries across all five continents.
