Viacom18 has emerged as the front-runner in the PromaxBDA awards, with 10 metals in on-air promotion, branding and advertising undertaken by the group to get its programming, channel, or brand noticed.

The network took home five gold and five silver awards across various categories. While its property MTV True Life grabbed four gold awards (for Best Entertainment Promo, Best Entertainment Campaign, Best Reality Promo and Best Reality Campaign), VH1 Jock Block took away the fifth gold for Best Programme Title Sequence.

The same property also won a silver metal for Best In House Station Image Promo. MTV Roadies bagged a silver metal for the Best Reality Campaign, while VH1's Spread The Music won silvers in the Best Special Event Promo and Best Public Service Announcement categories. MTV True Life bagged a silver metal in Best Editing.

BBC Worldwide scored eight metals -- four gold and four silver -- across various categories. It received the gold for Animated Wonder Shared - V1 (Best In-House Station Image Promo), Animated Wonder Shared - V2 (Best Animation), BBC Lifestyle Brand Spot (Best Leisure and Lifestyle Promo) and BBC Knowledge (Best On-Air Channel Branding).

The silvers for the group were for Best Entertainment Campaign for BBC Entertainment India, Best Documentary Promo for Human Planet, Best Leisure and Lifestyle Promo for James Martin personality spot, and Best Interstitial for Animated Wonder Shared V2.

MTV Asia won seven metals -- a gold for MTV Holiday Promos - Xmas (Sea)/April Fool's Day (Singapore)/Labor Day Silveren Week (China), a gold for April Fool's Day Ident (Singapore, Funniest Spot), a gold for K-Pop Top 50 Promo (Korea) -- Something For Nothing award; a silver for MTV Featured Artist (Sea, Best Programme Title Sequence); a silver for VMAJ Music Of Hope (Open) (Japan) - Best Original Logo Design; a gold for MTV Featured Artist (Sea) - Best Original Logo Design, and a silver again for MTV Featured Artist (Sea) - Best Animation.

STAR India won six metals -- one of which is a silver metal bagged by the International Business of STAR India Shootout at Lokhandwala in the Best Movie Promo category. Meanwhile, the other five metals include a gold to STAR Movies for Superstar League (Best Movie Campaign), a gold to STAR World for Glee "Bollywood Mashup" (Best Editing), a gold to STAR India for Forever Bond campaign (Best Integrated Marketing Campaign), a silver to Channel V for V Mann Ka Radio (Funniest Spot), and a silver to Star Plus for Master Chef Count Downs (Best Sting).

Disney Networks Asia-Pacific and MediaCorp TV Singapore won five metals each. For Discovery Networks, it was a gold for What You Can't See Aired on Discovery Channel (Best Documentary Promo), a gold for The Human Element on Discovery Science (Best Sound Design), a gold once again for the same for Best Script, a gold for Canon Invite Mr Wright Contest Spot on TLC (Best Interactive Promo), and a silver for HD World Idents on Discovery HD World (Best On-Air Ident).

MediaCorp TV Singapore won a silver metal for Justice, My Foot! (Best Comedy Promo); a gold metal for The Noose Goes International - Launch 2 "Cutting Edge Technology" (Best Comedy Promo); a silver for Pay Day (Best Comedy Campaign); a gold for The Noose International (Best Comedy Campaign), and a silver for Secret Garden (Best Drama Campaign).

This was followed by SPE Networks Asia (winning four metals); Multi Screen Media, BDA Creative Singapore, The Walt Disney Company, Home Box Office (Singapore) and MediaCorp Channel 8 winning three each; and Zee Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting winning two metals each.

Discovery Japan, MCCS (STAR-ABP joint venture), Astro Entertainment SDN BHD, AETN All Asia Networks, UTV Entertainment TV (World Movies) and GenX Entertainment (UTV Bindass) won a single metal each.
