Bana, who will be based out of Bengaluru, will report to Punitha Arumugam, Group CEO, Madison Media.
The Madison Media Group has roped in Ruby Bana as chief strategy and insights officer. As part of her new mandate, Bana will report to Punitha Arumugam, Group CEO (chief executive officer), Madison Media. She will be based in Bengaluru.
Bana comes from Havas Media, where she was chief intelligence officer for the agency's APAC region. She was based in India, but covered the territory of India, China, Indonesia, Australia, India, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
"Ruby will enhance our current offering with a strong qualitative perspective, backed by consumer insights and relevant research partnerships. In addition to driving our strategic product on key accounts, Ruby will also focus on building our knowledge centre for critical consumer segments," says Arumugam.

Bana has over 17 years of experience in media, spanning strategic planning, insights, and planning and buying. She has worked on a wide spectrum of brands ranging from Danone, Reckitt Benckiser, Britannia, Titan, Himalaya, Phillips, Shoppers Stop, Mitsubishi, and many others. Some of the agencies with which she has worked include Maxus and Group M.
