This is the third edition of the Marathi language newspaper.
The Dainik Bhaskar Group has launched the third edition of Dainik Divya Marathi, its Marathi offering, in Maharashtra. The edition has been launched from Jalgaon.
The edition has a cover price of Rs 3 per copy. With the launch of the Jalgaon edition, its 63rd one, the Group has now expanded its presence into three cities in Maharashtra, the other two being Aurangabad and Nashik.
In an official communique, Sudhir Agarwal, managing director, Dainik Bhaskar Group, says, "In the last two quarters of the current fiscal, the Dainik Bhaskar Group, having launched three editions in Maharashtra, is aggressively moving ahead, armed with a focussed strategy. We aim to emerge as the preferred medium for advertisers and are connecting strongly with our readers in this region."
On an average, the new edition will have 18 pages of content and advertisements.
The Group, like its other editions, tailor-made the product based on the feedback from readers. Its two-phase door-to-door contact survey led to subscription booking. The Group focussed on the training of the research and branding team.
Agarwal says, "As per the understanding based on our survey, we have realised that Jalgaon mirrors Aurangabad and Nashik. These cities need an independent voice and that is the position of Divya Marathi. Also, Jalgaon being a rapidly developing industrial belt and an emerging premier educational hub, we focussed on the role brand building can play for a new entrant like us."
For the record, the Dainik Bhaskar Group publishes eight newspapers with 63 editions, and 191 sub-editions in four languages (Hindi, Gujarati, English and Marathi), across 13 states. Dainik Bhaskar (in Hindi), its flagship newspaper, was established in 1958. The Group also publishes the Gujarati dailies Divya Bhaskar and Saurashtra Samachar, Business Bhaskar, DB Gold and DB Star, and DNA (in English). The company also has a radio station titled My FM, which is present in seven states.
