While Radio city takes the lead in Mumbai, Mirchi leads in Kolkata, follows Fever FM in Delhi; Big FM rules Bengaluru.
The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 23-Week 26 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.
Mumbai
Radio City leads in the city in Week 23-Week 26, with a market share of 15.8 per cent. The radio station did not register any loss or gain compared to the average market share of Week 19-Week 22.
Radio Mirchi is at No. 2, with a market share of 15.7 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points compared to last four weeks' record.
AIR FM2-Gold is in the third position and has an average market share of 14.6 per cent for the last four weeks. The station's average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was 14.4 per cent.
Big FM and Red FM are jointly in the fourth position, with a market share of 11.7 per cent; the stations' average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was 11.1 per cent and 12.9 per cent, respectively.
Fever FM is at No. 6, with a market share of 9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.5 percentage points compared to Week 19-Week 22.
Radio One is at No. 7 in the city, with a market share of 5.1 per cent, registering a loss of 1 percentage point. Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 5 per cent.
AIR FM-1 Rainbow is placed ninth, with a market share of 4.7 per cent. The radio station did not register any loss or gain compared to the average market share of Week 19-Week 22. Oye! FM follows with a market share of 3.4 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage points.
Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 23-Week 26, Akashavani has a market share of 3.3 per cent.
Delhi
Fever FM emerges in the No. 1 position in Delhi, registering a market share of 20 per cent, losing 0.3 percentage points. The station's average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was
20.3 per cent.
Radio Mirchi is at the second position in Delhi, with a market share of 19.3 per cent. Its average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was 18.5 per cent.
AIR FM2-Gold occupies the third position, with an average market share of 18.2 per cent in Week 23-Week 26. The radio station recorded a loss of 0.5 percentage points as compared to Week 19-Week 22. Radio City follows with an average market share of 10.6 per cent, recording a gain of 0.5 percentage points.
Red FM is at No. 5, registering an average market share of 8.9 per cent for the last four weeks, with a gain of 0.1 percentage points. Big FM comes next with 7 per cent average market share. The radio station recorded a gain of 0.4 percentage points compared to Week 19-Week 22.
Oye! and AIR FM1-Rainbow follow next, with average market shares of 3.5 per cent and 2.6 per cent, respectively. While the former recorded a loss of 0.8 percentage points, the latter recorded a gain of 0.7 percentage points as compared to the data of Week 19-Week 22.
Next in line are Hit 95 FM and Vividh Bharati, with market shares of 2.1 per cent and 1.4 per cent, respectively.
Bengaluru
Big FM still leads the pack in Bengaluru with a market share of 19.5 per cent in the last four weeks, registering a gain of 0.7 percentage points. Its average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was 18.8 per cent.
Radio City is at No. 2, with a market share of 18.9 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage points. Its average market share for Week 19-Week 22 stood at 18.6 per cent.
Radio Mirchi is in the third position and has a market share of 16.5 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 percentage points as compared to Week 19-Week 22.
Red FM is still at the fourth position with a market share of 9.9 per cent, which is 0.6 percentage points more than that of the previous four weeks.
Radio One is at No. 5, garnering a market share of 9.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.1 percentage points as compared to Week 19-Week 22.
Fever FM and AIR FM1-Rainbow follow with market shares of 8.9 per cent and 8 per cent, respectively.
Among other radio stations in the city are Vividh Bharati, Radio Indigo and Gyan Vani, which have market shares of 8 per cent, 5.9 per cent and 0.6 per cent, respectively.
Kolkata
Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 22.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous four weeks. Its average market share for the last four weeks was 21.9 per cent.
Big FM and Fever FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has an average market share of 15.9 per cent, while Fever FM has an average market share of 10.4 per cent.
Friends FM holds the fourth position with an average market share of 11.2 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage points as compared to the previous weeks. Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city, with an average market share of 10.4 per cent. Its average market share for the earlier four weeks was 10.1 per cent.
Red FM and Oye! FM are next in line, with average market shares of 8 per cent and 4.2 per cent, respectively. While the former radio station's average market share for Week 19-Week 22 was 7.9 per cent, the latter's market share was 4.5 per cent. Radio One follows with a market share of 3.7 per cent.
Among the other stations in Kolkata in Week 23-Week 26 are AIR FM2-Gold with a market share of 3.6 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (3.2 per cent), and Akashavani (1.4 per cent).
