MPG India (the flagship brand of Havas Media) has won the media mandate for the Swiss brand Victorinox.

The agency won the account after a multi-agency pitch. The incumbent agency on the business is R K Swamy Media.

The account size is estimated to be over Rs 10 crore.

On the development, Anita Nayyar, chief executive officer, Havas Media, South Asia, says in a press statement, "As an agency, we found many synergies with Victorinox's management, their brand values, and approach towards media planning and buying. In them, we have found a client, who appreciates strategic rigour and innovation as much as we do."

The brand, the sole supplier of multi-purpose knives to the Swiss army, is over 100 years old. Victorinox's product range includes pocket multi-tools, fine cutlery, time pieces and travel gear. The brand currently has a network of more than 600 retailers in India.

Calling MPG's approach thorough and insightful, Anish Goel, managing director, Victorinox India, says, "MPG's strategic thinking, drive and passion gave us the confidence to believe that this will be a successful partnership. Victorinox stands for reliability, innovation and functionality, and we know that with this enthusiastic team, we will be able to communicate our message loud and clear."
