Sriram Kilambi has been elevated to the role of marketing head in Radio Mirchi, an Entertainment Network India (ENIL) promoted company. Before this, he was senior vice-president and cluster head, ENIL Mumbai.
Kilambi, in his new role, will head the marketing division for ENIL. He will also be responsible in maintaining consistency of all products and brands of Radio Mirchi.
Kilambi will continue to report to Sujata Bhatt, executive vice-president, marketing, strategy, and HR, and will be based in Mumbai.
Confirming his elevation to afaqs!, Kilambi says, "Radio is entering a very interesting phase now. Thus, the kind of brands we build now will help us after three years. We will be launching new channels and intend to increase our presence from 32 cities, to 80-100 centres. But, this obviously depends upon Phase 3. I will also be a part of the whole expansion plan of the network."
Kilambi, who has spent more than 12 years across FMCG and media sectors in various roles like sales, marketing, and customer management, started his career with Coca-Cola India in 1999 as an area sales manager. He was eventually promoted to the post of brand manager, and finally, customer manager in the same company.
In 2006, Kilambi joined ENIL as vice-president and cluster head, East, where he successfully ran the Kolkata station and launched the Patna centre.
Kilambi completed his graduation from St Stephen's College, with a degree in Economics. This was followed with a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
