While Rajniti India will be a political offering; Society India will be a lifestyle magazine. Both will be published in English and Hindi.
The publishers of Economy India, an economic monthly magazine in both English and Hindi, are planning to launch two more titles -- Society India and Rajniti India. Both titles will hit the stands in February, and like their predecessor, will be published in Hindi and English.
Society India will be a monthly lifestyle magazine and will bear a cover price of Rs 30, for both English and Hindi versions. The magazine will have a print run of 10,000 for each version.
The content of this family-focused lifestyle title will have a mix of entertainment, Bollywood, NGO related information and art and culture related stories. On an average, Society India will have 80 pages in each issue.
The other offering, Rajniti India will be a fortnightly newspaper that will bear a cover price of Rs 5. It will focus on the political scenario in the country and will have 16 pages per issue on an average.
Rajniti India will target readers with political clout as well as common people. And like Society India, it too will have an initial print run of 10,000 each for the Hindi and English versions.
Though both the magazines will be published simultaneously in Hindi and English, the content of both the versions will be different, except for the cover stories. The group has its bureaus in Patna, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Delhi, Raipur and Bhopal.
According to Manohar Manoj, publisher and editor, Economy India, "The readers of Society India will find a holistic analysis of Indian society and its anthropology; whereas Rajniti India will depict the dynamics of Indian politics."
As far as the distribution strategy is concerned, Manoj states that the group has tied up with the AH Wheeler network for distribution across railway stations in the country. It has also tied up with other distributors in 32 cities.
