GEC Watch: Colors' share rises; Zee at No 2

Five of Zee's shows are in the top ten in Week 3

Week 3 of 2010 spells good news for Colors and Zee. As per TAM Media Research data for C&S 4+, HSM audiences, Colors, which tops the Hindi GEC chart, has gained 2 percentage points over last week. Its current share stands at 24 per cent, with 316 GRPs in Week 3.

Zee TV has climbed up to No. 2 with 20 per cent relative share. The channel has recorded 261 GRPs. STAR Plus has slipped to No. 3 position, with 259 GRPs. Its share has reduced from 21 per cent last week to 19 per cent in Week 3.

At No. 4, Sony has maintained its share at 11 per cent, with 151 GRPs in the latest week. DD1 has garnered 7 per cent share and is at No. 5. It is followed by NDTV Imagine and SAB, which have recorded 6 per cent share each.

STAR One has 3 per cent share; while Sahara One has 2 per cent. STAR Utsav and 9X have garnered 1 per cent share each.

On the list of top 10 programmes on Hindi GECs, Uttaran is the most watched programme in Week 3, garnering a TVR of 8.1. Na Aana Is Des Laado is at No. 2 with 6.4 TVR; followed closely by Pavitra Rishta, with 6.3 TVR. At No. 4, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has a TVR of 6.2. Balika Vadhu is at No. 5, garnering a TVR of 5.5.

The other programmes on the top 10 list are: Jhansi Ki Rani, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Dance India Dance 2, Bidaai and Chhoti Bahu.
