The Hindi daily has entered into a content sharing deal with Time magazine and Harvard Business Review to give an 'extra advantage' to its readers every Sunday.
The Dainik Bhaskar Group has entered into a content sharing tie up with two international publications - current affairs title Time magazine and management title Harvard Business Review (HBR).
The development is a part of the group's effort to revamp its Sunday edition to make it focus more on management lessons to be applied in day-to-day life, along with other sections such as health, fitness, career, self help, money management, politics, education, music, lifestyle, environment and columns by experts of the respective fields.
As per the deal, Dainik Bhaskar will feature content from the two magazines, translated in Hindi, on Sundays across all its editions. Dainik Bhaskar will dedicate three pages for the shared content every Sunday. While the first page will be the cover jacket that will have a combination of Time and HBR content, followed by one page each dedicated to the content from Time and HBR.
The shared content will be incorporated in Divya Bhaskar and Divya Marathi as well, apart from the Hindi daily of the group, Dainik Bhaskar. The pages will be integrated in the main edition of the three newspapers of the group.
While Dainik Bhaskar will take 'news and knowledge' from Time magazine, it will incorporate news, money management, self help and career management from HBR.
The revamped Sunday edition has been made to reflect the changing times and there will also be a separate segment devoted to women, fashion, food, travel, health, life, career and money management. Besides this, there will be a jacket every Sunday, above the regular front page of the newspaper, which will carry exclusive news analysis and ground reports.
In an official communiqué, Sanjeev Kotnala, vice-president, Dainik Bhaskar Group, says, "Our strategy revolves around being ahead of the curve. And hence the desire to enrich the reading experience. So, in addition to the above changes, we do expect that the readers will appreciate the exclusive cartoons and photographs that will not only bring smiles to their faces but also help them focus and think."
For the record, the Dainik Bhaskar Group is present in 13 states. Time magazine is one of the world's largest circulated weekly news magazines with a claimed readership of 25 million. And HBR is a magazine that talks about latest techniques, best practices and advice from the world's leading management experts.
