The SpaceToon Group, launched in 1976, claims to be one of the leading embedded media groups involved in radio, licensing, merchandising, online and interactive products. The group’s flagship channel, SpaceToon Kids TV, transmits to over 130 million viewers in 22 countries throughout West Asia and North Africa, and plans to start its channels targeting children in Korea, Russia and India. In India, the prime business focus for KMI will be licensing, merchandising, syndication, promotions and events for its database of animated properties. The Doraemon character will be soon available throughout the country for licensing for use by book publishers, children’s apparel manufacturers, toys and games, accessories, footwear, watches, party goods, stationery, gifts and other such consumer commodities.
Apart from Doraemon, Animation International distributes Jungle Book, Chibi Maruko, Ochaken, Panda Z, Post Pet, Let’s & Go, and several other characters throughout Asia.
The new season of Doraemon will be aired this July on Hungama Television at 4:30 pm in a prime slot. To have nationwide visibility, the major focus will be on promotional licensing and events.
