The activations caught the attention of each and every fan present at the concert held in Mumbai on March 30.
Every YouTube creator or "YouTuber", dreams of performing at the YouTube FanFest - the annual event organised by YouTube where top content creators perform live for clamouring fans. Google stated that close to 10,000 fans attended the event where top YouTubers, including most subscribed individuals in India like - Amit Bhadana, Mostly Sane - Prajakta Koli, BB Ki Vines - Bhuvan Bam, Ashish Chanchlani, Team Nach, global sensation Lilly Singh renowned as the Superwoman among many others were in attendance.
A gigantic stage at the Jio Gardens in Mumbia's Bandra Kurla Complex signified YouTube is growing bigger and grander in India. The ecstatic fans enjoyed the concert and each time a new creator took the stage, the decibel level rose significantly due to thundering cheers.
Also rising up to the occasion were the sponsors of the event. While popular YouTuber - Prajakta Koli, known by her screen name Mostly Sane, performed, she mentioned that she was hungry and within seconds, a drone delivered a package from Uber Eats containing a Vada Pav. The drone grabbed the fans' attention too; an activation clearly noticed by all.
Similarly, another sponsor of the event, Cadbury 5 Star 3D was also plugged in during most subscribed Indian YouTuber (14 million) Amit Bhadana's performance. The popular Ramesh-Suresh duo went up on stage with 5 Star 3D chocolate bars. Bhadana threw one of the bars at the audience while taking bites from another.
Vivo smartphones was also a presenting sponsor of FanFest 2019 and a newly launched handset of the Chinese mobile giant was used to click selfies all over the event. Bhuvan Bam donned the avatar of 'Titu Mama' (a character he plays) and interviewed renowned director and producer, Karan Johar. The chat ended with both using Vivo phones and clicking selfies with the audience.
The concert was streamed live on YouTube and the 3 hour 26 minute video has already fetched 7.2 million views, within 48 hours. The 2018 edition was also live-streamed which, in 365 days, fetched 1.7 million views. The Mumbai leg of FanFest 2019 ended with a performance from Superwoman Lilly Singh.
