Aditya Swamy has quit Flipkart as senior director and is slated to join Google, confirm industry sources.
Prior to Flipkart, Swamy was executive vice president, Viacom 18 Media and business head, MTV and MTV Indies.
Swamy joined Flipkart in October 2015 and led the digital media and content charter. Before that, he was with MTV and was responsible for growing the channel's footprint across TV, web, mobile and the live spaces. Prior to MTV, he was with Coca-Cola India for close to eight years. Before quitting as GM, marketing, he added many firsts to his credit including the launch of Coca-Cola's online destination 'My Enjoy Zone' and Georgia Coffee - the company's hot beverages venture.
Swamy holds a postgraduate diploma in marketing management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
