On Christmas morning, when a child sees a gift, the message usually reads: 'With love, from Mr. Claus or Santa Claus'. This new ad film by Marks & Spencer is slightly different.
In the ad, a mischievous little child named Jake feeds the family pet his sister's shoe.
But no sweat. He writes to Mrs. Claus and voila. Problem solved. Mrs. Claus is a stylish, chopper-flying diva in red who swoops in the save the day. All is well between Jake and his sister, who receives a bright new pair of shoes for Christmas, thanks to Lady Claus. Touched by the gesture, and hidden apology, she hugs Jake and says, 'Thank you so much Jake'. In return, Jake writes back to Mrs. Claus to thank her.
Marks & Spencer's interesting branding effort has gone viral.
Our favourite part? The scenes in which Santa and his Mrs. interact - one at the beginning and one at the end.
Directed by Tom Hooper (British film and television director of English and Australian background, says his Wiki page), the ad film has fetched six million views on YouTube, so far. It was published on the platform on November 11, 2016.
