Samsung's current brand campaign titled 'Unpacking Samsung' encapsulates the brand's innovation journey in a minute-and-a-half-long video. And, the result is worth a watch! The video is a stunning timeline of the evolution of Samsung's product line (mostly mobile phones) over the years.
Created by agency 72andSunny Amsterdam, the campaign marks key innovations in Samsung's growth graph. It begins with an unpacking of a mobile phone box which contains a SH-100 mobile phone launched in 1988 and goes on to show the first wristwatch phone.
The video also showcases the world's smallest TV phone, the MP3 phone, the Samsung Note, the first 3G call from Everest to the Samsung Gear S2. It also highlights the first dual-edge display as well as the company's foray into the world of VR (virtual reality).
Through smart editing, the video lets viewers know about Samsung's introduction of the S Pen with the Galaxy Note series and thus pave the way for phablets.
The campaign was a prelude to the Samsung event at the Mobile World Congress which was held between February22-25, 2016.
Uploaded on the company's official YouTube channel on February 18, the video has garnered over 31 million views so far.
