Craftsvilla.com, the online shopping store for ethnic products, has announced the appointment of Manish Kalra as its chief business officer.
Kalra was previously director of integrated marketing at Amazon India, and was responsible for overall marketing and building key brands in the country such as Amazon.in, Junglee.com, and Kindle.
"We have appointed Manish Kalra as chief business officer. He will play a key role in binding together critical growth functions including overall marketing, product, supply, category management and merchandising," reads an official statement.
Speaking on the appointment, Manoj Gupta, co-founder and CEO, Craftsvilla.com, says, "Kalra brings extensive experience in the e-commerce space including Amazon and MakeMyTrip, where he played an active role in building consumer growth and scaling businesses using innovative and efficient marketing tools and building teams from scratch."
Confirming the transit, Kalra states, "I am excited to join Craftsvilla.com at this stage in its journey of bringing Indian ethnic products and handicrafts closer to the Indian consumer. We have a huge opportunity in building a world class product and enabling Indian sellers and small businesses."
Craftsvilla claims to have close to 25,000 artisans and designers across the country. It also claims to reach more than a million customers everyday through its website and mobile app.
