Star Plus' 'Phir Bhi Na Mane-Badtameez Dil' will discontinue its run on Star Plus and move to the network's video streaming platform Hotstar, exclusively, from today. The show will have new episodes releasing every weekday morning.
An official release claims that the show has attracted a good following on Hotstar among digital users in the age group of 18- 24.
With over 50 million unique users, Hotstar has content across movies, drama, sports and events. The platform reportedly has over 50,000 programming hours from Star's pool of channels across languages. It also has around eight to nine shows in original content, that includes 'M Bole Toh' - a 'film promotion', chat-based show hosted by popular Mumbai radio jockey Malishka, and 'Ab Bolega Chetan', a spin-off of Star Plus' dance-based show 'Nach Baliye'.
This is the first time that a daily show has been shifted from a TV channel to a digital service, as it has reportedly done better among mobile viewers.
