The series will integrate humour with information to educate the youth.
Online financial marketplace BankBazaar has launched a digital series called 'Let's Talk About Money'. The series aims to educate the young audiences on financial planning and jargon. BankBazaar has colaborated with YouTube channel 'Being Indian' for the presentation of this humourous and informative series. The campaign has been executed by social media agency Flarepath.
The online marketplace believes that the youth has low involvement in the financial sector, due to high complexities in the processes. Adhil Shetty, CEO of BankBazaar, comments, "We want the young, internet-savvy consumer to start engaging with the financial services category, hence this initiative aims to simplify things for them. We want them to have the knowledge and understanding to evaluate various options for themselves."
The web series will comprise long videos giving out finance-related information on YouTube. The brand has chosen the web platform as it believes that digital is the most powerful medium to connect with the youth.
Saurabh Kanwar, founder, Flarepath, hopes for a good response, "The upcoming 'Let's Talk About Money' Youtube series is based on the idea that personal finance does not have to be a dry, serious subject. By using a humorous, light-hearted format, we can use "infotainment" to both inform and entertain our audience, and get them to engage with us. This approach to tackling financial topics and products has never been attempted quite like this before, and we believe it has great potential."
BankBazaar.com was established in 2008 and is headquartered in Chennai. It claims to be a neutral online marketplace, giving customised rate quotes on loans, credit cards and other products. The website currently has tie-ups with 30 finance firms.
