Social networking site Facebook has released a 'fandom' map that shows the most-liked teams on the platform across all Indian states and districts. Updated statistics also show how large the conversation around IPL has been.

The map shows every team is most supported in its home state, while Chennai Super Kings dominates in states that are not represented. CSK is also more popular than the home team in Delhi, with Delhi Daredevils exhibiting no plurality of fans in an Indian district. Data also reveals that Mumbai Indians have the largest Facebook following in Gurgaon.
This map has been created by Facebook's data science team. Each district is colour-coded based on which official team's Facebook page has received maximum likes from the people who live in that district.
As per the Fandom map, 26 million people had nearly 250 million Facebook interactions around IPL, from April 1 through May 10. In India, 19 million people had about 200 million interactions.
