It will bring the league live on mobile phones, Internet screens and Neo Sports for Indian viewers.
Seven3Sports has bagged the digital rights of the 52nd season of 'Bundesliga'. It has put together a digital plan to bring 'Bundesliga' closer to over a billion Indians, live on their mobile phones and Internet screens.
These digital rights cover mobile, internet, apps, video on demand, live streaming on digital platforms, highlight, audio commentary on mobile and the internet besides anything you would like to power on digital platforms.
Bundesliga, the popular German league, starts today and features stars like Mario Goetze, Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben, Toni Kroos, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Adrian Ramos, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels.
Seven3Sports broadcast the 2014 FIFA World Cup across five South Asian countries, so it claims that acquiring digital rights for Bundesliga therefore was as a natural extension. Jatin Ahluwalia, founder and chief executive officer, Seven3Sports, says, "We are targeting to go beyond the conventional sports loved in India; introducing new experiences such as French Open in the past and now the Bundesliga. This will be an exciting new venture for us with the ultimate aim to provide live viewership to those who are always on the go."
Neo Sports is the official broadcast partner for the league in India. Seven3Sports owns and distributes sports media rights and produces sporting events and properties. The scope covers media rights distribution, league development, licensing and syndication, partnership and affiliate marketing that offers integrated solutions from sponsorship evaluation and participation, legal due-diligence, contractual, licensing, multi-platform or multi-media campaigns and digital programmes for sports activation.
It is headquartered in Delhi and has offices in London and UAE.
