Viren Jhonsa quits Reliance Entertainment Digital

He quits after a stint of seven years.

After a seven-year stint, Viren Jhonsa has resigned as head, design, Reliance Entertainment, which is a part of Reliance ADA Group that has Zapak, BigFlix, BigAdda, Reliance Mobile and World Wide Open under its umbrella.

Sources close to the development confirm the news, although Jhonsa was unavailable for comment.

It is learnt that Jhonsa's next assignment will be in the digital space. Apparently, Jhonsa is currently serving his notice period, which will end in the last week of May.

At Reliance, Jhonsa was a part of the leadership team and was overseeing the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) for 4+ businesses that interface with public and enterprise clients. He was also responsible for providing comprehensive digital (web and mobile) UI solutions to clients/advertisers for brand campaigns. He and his team recently won the DMAI Echo- Silver- in the Banking and Financial Services category for the digital marketing campaign for Reliance Life Insurance.

Jhonsa has over 14 years of experience in the media industry and had joined Zapak in May, 2007 as senior manager, design. Earlier, he was responsible for creative and design at People Group - Shaadi.com.

He has also worked with Jasubhai Digital Media, People Group, AIM Consulting, ITNation and Lookup India.
