Awanish moves to Kenscio from BLAZAR, a digital arm of GroupM Media. At Kenscio, he will report to co-founder Saurav Patnaik.
After a short stint of around eight months at GroupM, Kumar Awanish has moved on to join Kenscio Digital Marketing.
Based in Gurgaon, he will be designated as AVP, strategy and innovation. At Kenscio, he will report to co-founder Saurav Patnaik.
During his stint at GroupM, Awanish was designated as business director at BLAZAR, a digital arm of GroupM Media (a WPP company).
At Kenscio, he will take care of business development and other innovations to drive the company's growth.
On his new role, Awanish says, "What attracted me to Kenscio is the inspiring journey that it has travelled in four years and the way it has positioned itself in a high growing market like India. With its pioneering presence in digital direct marketing, Kenscio does have a tremendous potential and I would look forward to taking it to the next level."
Patnaik adds, "With plans to also launch a marketing intelligence product which shall cater to a constantly maturing, digitally active clientele, the expansion of strategy and media planning team further strengthens our ability to meet the needs of our customers with all the requisite intelligence."
Awanish brings with him nearly 11 years of experience in various functions including business development, marketing and strategic digital marketing services to both agencies and e-commerce companies.
Before joining GroupM in March, he led Hushbabies.com's (latter acquired by babyBOX, part of Snapdeal) marketing vertical (experiential and digital). He has also worked with Times Business Solutions and Bharti Airtel in the past.
