Jobswitch has now become a standalone job portal for the advertising, media and marketing professionals in the APAC region.
Jobswitch, the exclusive jobs channel on afaqs.com, has now become a standalone job portal for the advertising, media and marketing community in the APAC region. Housed at Jobswitch.in, the website has donned a new look and intent, which is to be the biggest, and most favoured destination for the jobs that matter in advertising, media and marketing in the region.
Jobswitch's presence on afaqs.com provided users a focused platform to reach young professionals in the community. With a successful record of over 10 years on afaqs! , Jobswitch today has over 1,400 recruiters in India and abroad, of which most are repeat advertisers.
The new website has a 'Top Employer' feature where the advertiser's logo will form part of the permanent space earmarked for top employers on the landing page. The logo will be 'clickable' and will land the user on a microsite that hosts all jobs and write ups in one place.
According to the company, every time an organisation does a recruitment ad on Jobswitch, mailer alerts will go to the registered job seeker profiles that match. Job postings will also be part of The Jobs Brief, a special weekly mailer that is sent to all 75,000 afaqs! subscribers with the week's top job picks.
The 'Charter Member' feature will guarantee a permanent space earmarked on the second page of Jobswitch. Recruitment advertisements will also be featured in afaqs! Reporter, the fortnightly marketing magazine from the stable of afaqs!.
All jobs posted on the new website are categorised under 'Top Cities' that include jobs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Noida. Besides, there is a 'Top Categories' section that will help users to search jobs across categories like account management and servicing, art and design, brand development and management.
Speaking on the objective and idea behind making Jobswitch a standalone entity, Prasanna Singh, COO and publisher, afaqs.com and afaqs! Reporter, says, "Jobswitch is already a preferred site, when it comes to a focused approach for the advertising, marketing and media community. We want Jobswitch to be an independent powerful brand that is the site of choice for job seekers and recruiters in the advertising, media and marketing community, by building on our special understanding of these communities."
"By going for a separate identity, we have obviously set high expectations from ourselves, as well as our users. This change will be the starting point of a major push to help a wider range of companies to discover the right advertising and marketing talent through Jobswitch," adds Singh.
Singh also informs that the group is looking at incorporating user input-based changes on the interface and technology, and expects to get recruiters coming back regularly to the site. "Of course, coupled with our own efforts to ensure that everyone, employees and recruiters alike, go back happy with the Jobswitch experience," he concludes.
