Gulshan Verma and Akshay Garg get new roles; both to report to Prashant Mehta, CEO, Komli Media.
Media technology network Komli Media has announced the restructuring of its business teams in order to accelerate growth. Gulshan Verma, erstwhile managing director of Komli Media, India and North America businesses, has been given new responsibilities. He will handle all regional and business managing directors across Komli Media Worldwide. He will work as chief revenue officer (CRO) and will be responsible for the company's profit and loss.
Also, Akshay Garg, co-founder of Komli Media and managing director for Southeast Asia, is set to assume responsibility as head, strategy and business operations across Komli globally.
Both will report to Prashant Mehta, CEO, Komli Media. The newly created CRO structure will focus on addressing marketers' need for integrated media solutions, including those leveraging Komli's proprietary ATOM real-time bidding and mobile platforms.
Mathew Ward has been promoted as managing director, Komli Media, SEA while Pritesh Patel will be the new managing director, Komli Media India and West Asia. Besides, Matt Sutton will take over as managing director, Komli Engage (International) and Komli Play. Sutton will handle Komli Media's social and video solutions across all markets.
Lastly, Varsha Brajesh is promoted as director, Data and Analytics. The new appointees will join Komli Mobile's vice-president and managing director, Amit Bhartiya and Andrew Reid, managing director, Komli Media Australia and New Zealand, in the CRO structure.
Mehta says, "Consumer behaviour is changing across desktop, mobile, social and video in our core markets and therefore the message from our customers is very clear that we need to have an integrated approach that enables our sales teams to cross-sell solutions. Addressing this immediate need, Komli Media created the CRO organisation, responsible for maximising revenues and margins across all regions and products."
He adds that with the development of the CRO structure and the strategy function, the company is well-poised to scale its business successfully across APAC.
Verma has served Komli Media for more than two years as vice-president and country head for India and North America. Garg was vice-president, international, for nearly three years at Komli Media, during which he led Komli's international growth and strategy across the UK, Australia and SEA, successfully leading all international acquisitions and growing the SEA business to the largest independent media network in the region.
