In-sync with the ongoing digitisation wave in the Indian television industry, media consultancy firm and analytics Chrome Data Analytics & Media has roped in Sunjit Singh as associate vice-president, special projects and business operations.
As part of his new mandate, Singh will spearhead marketing, innovations and customised client initiatives for Chrome. He will report to Pankaj Krishna, founder and CEO, Chrome Data Analytics & Media.
Singh moves in from Hindustan Times, where he led marketing for the paper's Chandigarh region.
Says Krishna says, "Chrome is all set to launch India's first ever analytical tools for optimising trials and tracking viewership trends in a truly digitised television environment."
An alumnus of MICA, Singh began his career as assistant brand manager with Dainik Jagran. After spending three years with the company, he joined Radio One as deputy manager, marketing. In 2007, he moved to yet another medium when he joined UTV's broadcast division as brand manager.
Singh was instrumental in the launch of UTV World Movies and UTV Movies. He also spearheaded the business development and content alliances at BBC World Service.
For the record, with the ongoing digitisation spree, Chrome Data Analytics & Media is looking at developing strategies to help channels maximise their distribution with minimal investments.
Founded in 2008 by a team of industry professionals to offer extensive services in distribution monitoring, distribution analytics and distribution strategy, Chrome Data Analytics & Media has crafted six proprietary distribution tools which are being used by more than 125 channels.
