The agency bagged the business after a multi-agency pitch, wherein it put forward the 'Quik India Movement' idea.
Following a multi-agency pitch, online classifieds company Quikr.com has awarded its digital mandate to FoxyMoron. With focus on social media, the agency will handle all digital creative work for Quikr.
Quikr is a city-based free classifieds website that helps people post free ads in categories such as furniture, mobile phones, vehicles, services, real estate, jobs, education, entertainment and matrimonial.
The idea FoxyMoron pitched for the brand - Quik India Movement - found favour with Quikr before it handed the business to the agency. Going forward, the immediate online creatives will be based on this idea.
The idea is a fun take on the brand name and the key proposition of Quikr - to facilitate transactions quicker than other portals in the category. The focus will be to enhance the social media presence of the brand by highlighting this particular aspect and reinforcing that quicker is better.
"The Quik India Movement is a very simple insight of what the brand is about and is also about a generation that wants everything quicker,"
says Harshil Karia, online strategist and co-founder, FoxyMoron, in a conversation with afaqs!.
Karia further adds that the agency's extensive experience in the e-commerce space also helped it to sway the decision in its favour.
Quikr.com recently launched a television commercial featuring the fictional character 'Bob Biswas' from the movie Kahaani. The TVC was created by Scarecrow Communications, the company's creative partner.
