Unmisha Bhatt, erstwhile deputy general manager, Bajaj Electricals has joined social media agency Tonic Media as director, global strategy. She will be responsible for driving expansion of the agency in new markets and also strengthen planning, research and strategy for its existing and new clients.
Bhatt was deputy general manager at Bajaj Electricals since September, 2010.
Her planning and strategic knowledge will add value and help the agency to follow a scientific approach towards digital communication.
Bhatt has a post graduate degree in business management, with specialisation in marketing from N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies & Research.
She started her career with Reminiscent India Television, after completing bachelor's degree in commerce in 2000. She moved on to join STAR India as senior executive, ad sales in Mumbai in 2003. She has handled airtime sales and semi corporate deals for Radio City 91 FM.
After a year, she joined Black Pencil, the second agency of Leo Burnett and handled clients such as Parachute Advansed, Tiger Balm, Kotak Securities, AM PM Mouth Wash and Anchor Toothpaste, amongst others.
After two years at the agency, she moved on to join Ogilvy & Mather in September, 2006 as account director. There, she worked on the Pond's brands. She moved to Kotak Investment Advisors in 2008 as associate vice-president.
She returned to Ogilvy & Mather as client services director in 2009. In 2010, she joined Bajaj Electricals as deputy general manager, advertising and brand development. At Bajaj Electricals, she was responsible for advertising and brand development across three consumer-facing business units.
