The app allows students and teachers to move to personalised learning.
Smart Technologies has launched its Smart Notebook app that allows the transition from the whole-class or small group learning to personalised learning. The app is now available on the Apple app store for iPads and is priced at USD $6.9.
The app allows students to use the collaborative learning software on their personal iPads and helps them to engage with the study materials of Smart Notebook software.
Linda Thomas, vice president, products, Smart Technologies says,
"The Smart Notebook app for iPad allows students and teachers to benefit from the many features of Smart Notebook software wherever they go, enabling learning and engagement that goes beyond the classroom."
The new app will also help students display content from an iPad on an interactive whiteboard using AirPlay and an Apple TV with proper connectors. It imports files from the Smart Notebook directly and has all the means to zoom and pan to different angles for an interactive study. Students can insert images, write in different colours of red, green, black and blue, control the movement of data and can rotate, move, scale and delete it at their discretion.
It further saves all the revisions automatically and saves files from a computer to a web storage service, which the user can access from an iPad and collaborate in small groups, or email files with a tap.
These features enable students to use their iPad to review material and complete activities that can then be saved and e-mailed back to the teacher for evaluation.
