Apurva Dalal, Rahul Bhargava and Ashwin Puri will head engineering, products and global business development, respectively, for the media technology firm.
Media technology company Komli Media has appointed three new people in its management team. Apurva Dalal, former head of engineering, site lead, Google Hyderabad, has been brought on board as vice-president and head of engineering, while Rahul Bhargava will be vice-president and head of products. Ashwin Puri has been appointed vice-president and head of global business development. Bhargava and Puri move in from American Express and Vuclip, respectively.
Under the new leadership, Dalal will build the technology platforms and expand them. He has two decades of experience in creation of large scale software systems, search infrastructure and has set up technology teams. He was instrumental in founding the enterprise cloud computing R&D centre at Google Hyderabad, where he worked for seven years. He has also worked for eBay's Silicon Valley offices. Dalal completed bachelor's degree in technology (computer science) from Mumbai University and holds an MBA degree from University of Dallas.
Bhargava will frame the product vision in different platforms such as display, mobile, social and video. Armed with 20 years of experience, Bhargava was vice-president and general manager of digital payments division at American Express. Prior to this, he headed Paypal's global merchant solutions team, where he brought in US$700 million in revenue. Bhargava holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Delhi, an MS from Carnegie Mellon University and is an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Hailing from Vuclip, Puri, who will manage global business development and the strategic alliances group, spent over a decade in the mobile and consumer space in the US and APAC in product and business development at Sprint and VeriSign. Puri completed electronics and telecommunications engineering from Pune University.
