The latest version of the portal promises better content and more opportunities for advertisers.
Popular portal Indiatimes.com has announced the roll out of its latest version. In its new avatar, the website promises to offer users larger and relevant variety of content with enhanced user experience.
With a focus on key content genres that users have been coming back for, the website will offer more original content. The content strategy is a mix of both original feature stories as well as a curation of the best from the Times Network.
The new user interface also promises better content discovery and readability. Driven by data-driven insights, the product enhancement process was put in place tracking content consumption trends, user interface performance and audience preferences over a period of time.
The home page, in particular, has been designed to optimise the time a user spends to get a quick overall perspective on the latest happenings. Introduction of additional categories in the space of interactivity and casual time-pass genres are planned over the next two months.
From the advertising perspective, beginning the festive season, Indiatimes.com will offer more formats on the website. A 'dynamic ad spot' or a moving ad spot is being introduced, which aims to avoid blind spot tendencies and deliver higher CTRs. Additionally, more innovation formats will be rolled out that offer higher engagement and a better product window.
Satyan Gajwani, chief executive officer, Times Internet says in a press statement, "The improved Indiatimes.com is designed to deliver more relevant entertaining and informative content via an enhanced user experience. With this, we are confident of engaging and growing our audiences more effectively, while generating good ROI for our advertising partners."
