Komli Media now has exclusive rights to sell ad and video inventories on all Zynga games across Asia-Pacific markets.
Identifying the growing potential of social games, media technology platform Komli Media has entered into a partnership with international social games services company Zynga.
As per the deal, Komli Media has gained exclusive rights to sell web display ad and video inventories on all games across the Zynga platform in Asia Pacific markets including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Commenting on the development, Prashant Mehta, chief executive officer, Komli Media, says, "Zynga is the brand name that comes to your mind when you think of social gaming. With millions of monthly active users playing games with Zynga, a whole new category has been created. Zynga and Komli will now allow brands all over Asia to connect and engage with their community in a unique manner."
With the powerful medium that is social media for marketers to reach out to its audience, social gaming has also grown significantly in the recent times, engaging users across the world.
California-based Zynga boasts of highly popular social games such as ChefVille, Zynga Poker, Words With Friends and Bubble Safari, among others. The company develops games for both mobile phone platforms as well as social networking websites.

says Adam Sussman, head of sales and distribution, Zynga, in a press statement.
Komli Media has been on a steady growth path in the recent past. Earlier, in June, the company received Rs 214 crore in a fresh round of funding. Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) led the financing, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Western Technology Investment. It was said that the funds would be used to invest in the company's core media technology platforms and expand its presence across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
It has also acquired companies such as AdMax Network, Aktiv Digital and mobile ad network ZestADZ, launched Komli Labs and announced strategic partnerships in the past year and a half.
