Hall will be based in Singapore; he joins RedWorks from SingTel.
Ogilvy's global BTL (below-the-line) creative and adaptation division RedWorks has appointed Gavin Hall as regional vice-president for RedWorks Digital Services.
Based in Singapore, Hall, in his new role, will expand the digital delivery capabilities of RedWorks across the region, including specialist and production operations in Bengaluru, Ho Chi Minh and Beijing.
On the development, Michael Burgess, regional president, RedWorks Asia, says, "RedWorks has evolved considerably over the last three years and we are pleased to have Hall on board to be part of our growth. His extensive management, mobile, online project and product management experience will further add to our service offerings and strong leadership team, and create additional value for our clients."
This is Hall's second stint with an Ogilvy company. He began his career as a producer for MTV before joining OgilvyOne in the interactive space, where he worked on regional projects for Nokia, Unilever and Lufthansa. He then moved to Yahoo!, where he managed regional mobile product offerings. In his immediate assignment before RedWorks, he worked at Singapore-based telecommunications company SingTel, where he led the developer and partnership relationships for the company's drive into mobile applications.
"It has been more than six years since I was part of Ogilvy and I feel as if I am coming home. It is an exciting time to join RedWorks, and I look forward to support RedWorks' growth across Asia Pacific," says Hall.
RedWorks brings together an extensive network of production and design capabilities into a single global unit that provides high quality, cost-effective brand communications in both traditional and digital media. In India, RedWorks was launched in early 2010 and is led by president, Poran Malani.
