Dayani, who has more than two decades of experience, moves to the agency from ESPN-STAR Sports, where he was head of marketing.

Digital marketing agency Digitas India has appointed Nirmal Dayani as its chief operating officer. Dayani will report to Kanika Mathur, president, Digitas India. Earlier, Dayani was head of marketing at ESPN-STAR Sports.
Commenting on the new role, Dayani says, "This is an amazing opportunity and I am incredibly excited to be a part of the Digitas India team. In this new digital era we have a great opportunity to integrate our offerings and add value to our customers or clients' portfolios. I look forward to work closely with our clients and together develop their digital roadmaps to take them to the next level in their growth curves."
Dayani, who has more than 21 years' experience, started his advertising career in 1991 at Tara Sinha McCann Erickson. Later, he moved to HTA, where he worked on brands such as Horlicks and Pepsi. In December 1999, joined ESPN-STAR Sports, where he continued till July, 2012. He is an Economics graduate from Delhi University and an MBA in Marketing from BIT Ranchi.
Commenting on the appointment, Mathur says, "We look forward to Nirmal leading Digitas India. We believe that with his experience and skills, he will play a key role in nurturing client relationships and driving growth."
