Bharat Benz (Daimler India Commercial Vehicles) has awarded its digital mandate to Media2win. The agency won the account following a multi-agency pitch called in June.
The Chennai-based business will be handled out of Media2win's office in Bengaluru. The agency will be responsible for the digital marketing initiatives of Bharat Benz including website development, creative ideas, social media, digital media planning, buying and search.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles is the Indian subsidiary of the truck manufacturer Daimler AG, Stuttgart, Germany. A globally leading automotive company, its divisions include Mercedes-Benz cars, Daimler trucks, Mercedes-Benz vans, Daimler buses and Daimler Financial Services.
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles produces light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles for the Indian volume market, under the brand name BharatBenz.
Commenting on the win, Namrata Balwani, chief operating officer, Media2win, says, "The Daimler brand has exciting plans for the Indian market. The level of investment that they have lined up in India will surely see positive results in the coming months. This is an interesting category and we hope to create some great digital work with the Daimler team."
Balwani says that the overall strategic perspective offered by the agency for Bharat Benz in the digital space found favour with the brand and helped the agency to win the business.
The brand looks to aggressively increase its digital presence and bringing Media2win on board is a step towards the same.
Last month, the company awarded its creative and media mandates to Lowe Lintas and Lintas Media Group.
