Starcom MediaVest Group has won the digital account of German audio company Sennheiser India. The agency will be responsible for the entire digital portfolio, including digital media buying for the brand. There was no pitch held for this account.
Though no one from SMG or Sennheiser was available for comment, senior industry sources have confirmed the news to afaqs!.
The brand's digital account was earlier held by OMD. According to market estimates, the brand plans to spend Rs 3-5 crore on digital media in this financial year.
The agency will be responsible for building a strong brand name for Sennheiser using traditional digital tools and media. It will work on search marketing and search display for the brand.
For the record, Sennheiser was founded in 1945 and specialises in the design and production of a wide range of both consumer and high fidelity products, including microphones, headphones, telephony accessories, and avionics headsets for consumer, professional and business applications.
Sennheiser India recently launched its own online store at shop.sennheiserindia.com, where consumers can buy Sennheiser headphones, headsets and microphones for stereo systems, MP3 players, mobile phones and computers.
