Gajwani has taken over as CEO from Rishi Khiani, who is currently serving his notice period.

Satyan Gajwani, director, new media, Times of India Group has taken charge as chief executive officer, Times Internet Limited with immediate effect. He has taken over from Rishi Khiani, who has put in his papers at the company to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions. Khiani, who is currently serving his notice period, will remain a part of Times Internet Limited till August 2012.
Commenting on the development, Gajwani says, "We're sad to see Rishi move on, but excited for his future ahead. Indiatimes has made great progress under his leadership, and I'm excited to take it forward to new and bigger heights. These are big shoes to fill but with such a strong team in place, I'm sure we'll succeed."
For the record, Khiani joined Times Internet in 2009. Earlier, he was CEO at Web18. He joined Web18 after the Network18 group acquired Urban Eye, a digital marketing agency founded by Khiani.
Gajwani has been the director, new media at BCCL for the last three and a half years.
