The agency will have to let go of the MSN business following this development.
Advertisment
Independent media consulting, marketing and advertising sales company Aidem Ventures is all set to launch its own digital ad network.
Highly placed sources have confirmed the news to afaqs!, though no official confirmation could be obtained from Aidem at the time of filing this report.
The upcoming ad network will use a completely different format and technology compared to those currently present in the market.
Sources have also revealed that in light of this development, Aidem will have to let go of the MSN business from June onwards. It may be recalled that Aidem handles media sales for MSN in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Recently, Microsoft Advertising had appointed digital agency Ybrant Digital to handle sales for the premium media properties owned by Microsoft for cities outside Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Speculations are rife that this development may lead to Ybrant handling the entire sales function for Microsoft. However, a confirmation on this could not be obtained.
Aidem will continue to handle the media sales business for The Economist online and Policybazaar.com.
